Netweathers good, i have used it a few times before, i'll add netweather in the useful links on the live storm tracking page when i get a few mins :-)

Im the same, i use mix of radar, lightning tracking etc etc to find where i need to be :-)

Hey Ade.  Netweather.tv has a decent 'severe convective/storms' forecast with all the professional jargon (mid level trough, steepened lapse rates, dry  air aloft, etc.) in the forecasts section of the home page.  I don't know if you are aware of this, but I've used it to help me plan any storm chasing with other resources like lightning detectors and rainfall radar.  That way, I aim to get close to the best lightning activity.  Netweather's main site is free, and it's useful.

Here are 2 more photos aimed at those amateurs who like good examples of the power of the atmosphere in convective terms.  These clouds have the equivalent power of a small thermonuclear device (a few megatons)!
